Genki Beam! is an online Trading Card Game, popularly known as a TCG. For those who are unfamiliar with TCGs, it's basically an online version of ordinary trading card games you collect in real life. The good thing about ONLINE TCGS is that you can make absolutely anything into cards!

RIP Genki Beam, 2005-2009 [July 1st, 2009]

I know this is very sudden and comes as a shock for many of you, but I feel that it is time for Genki Beam to close on a high note. It is a shame that I have to do this when Momusu is about to perform in America for the first time!

First of all, Hello!Project itself just isnt the same anymore when the Elder Club graduated. I personally am a bigger fan of old school H!P (when the Elder Club members were still there) and feel that H!P has gone downhill after the Elder Club graduated (Though I am still sad I won't be able to see Momusu in Anime Expo! XD). Nowadays I am pretty much only interested in Morning Musume and not so much kids or eggs.

Secondly, after reopening Pretty Voice I find myself more willing to run PV instead of GB, probably due to the reason above. It is much more fun for me to make cards and updates for PV, it almost feels like a chore to update games for GB and I feel very unmotivated to do so. As you can see, updates recently have been very inconsistent. After a TCG gets to a certain size, adding cards and new things to make it interesting gets more difficult, and GB has reached this stage. I mean, some veteran members have to start over coz they mastered all the sets they want to collect already, to prevent from quitting! There is no point in continuing if running a TCG is no longer fun. So yeah, so I figured that this is probably the best thing to do.

I deeply apologize to the current members, and also sincerely thank everyone for sticking with Genki Beam, some of you from the very beginning, through thick and thin ♥♥♥♥♥ It had been a wonderful experience while it lasted!! I'll leave everything up so you can still see the cards and stuff once in a while (if you feel nostalgic XD), but obviously I will not make any further changes to the site. Since a lot of you are also Pretty Voice members, you'll definitely see Hello!Project card sets there too! I'll see some of you at PV, and thank you to everyone else who made running GB worthwhile ♥
